Why does Mount Calvary Bible Church have this name and how and when was this formed?

This church has the name because the original sending church of Pastor K. Scheer was called Mount Calvary Baptist Church in America. The name was changed to Bible because Pastor Scheer wanted to show that the focus of the church was living and following the Bible. Pastor Scheer considered it is more important that we follow the creator of all the universe and mankind Jesus Christ through applying his word from Genesis 1.1 to Revelation 22:21.

The Church was founded in Pastor Scheer’s house in October 1997 and subsequently moved to the Seacourt Hall. In 2004 Pastor Scheer returned to America to continue ministry there having handed the leadership of the church to a UK Pastor, T. Lazenby.

Sadly, due to a number of circumstances; many faithful families moving to America, Australia and other parts of the UK and a change of calling the church was closed in February 2007.

However, the Lord seems to have new plans for this church and Pastor Lazenby and we are seeking to restart the ministry as the Lord leads.
